My interest in scoliosis care began with a clinical challenge. I noticed that patients with musculoskeletal pain who also presented with scoliosis often reached a plateau in their progress. I found myself questioning how much of their strength and flexibility limitations were directly linked to their spinal curvature, and at the time, I didn’t have the definitive answers or the specific tools required to treat them effectively. That curiosity sparked a determination to understand the condition more fully, eventually leading me to pursue the SSOL Schroth Certification in 2025.
The Schroth Method provided the in-depth, three-dimensional understanding of the spine that I was seeking. It answered my long-standing doubts and highlighted a critical truth: scoliosis treatment is highly complex and differs significantly from standard physiotherapy management for musculoskeletal pain. This specialized training has given me the confidence to handle even the most intricate cases, shifting my focus toward precise, plane-specific corrections.
Since becoming certified, I have realised how vital timely detection and intervention are—for both children and adults. I frequently meet families who feel overwhelmed and under-informed in this niche area of healthcare. My goal is to bridge that gap, ensuring that patients and their families are equipped with the knowledge they need to manage the condition proactively.
In the posts below, I’ll be sharing insights into scoliosis management, from early detection strategies to specialised exercise principles, blending clinical expertise with a commitment to empowering families through the recovery journey.
